What it is

Serendipity produces Black History Month Leicester every October. The 2026 programme includes a symposium, a launch concert at Leicester Cathedral, the Reel Histories film season, talks and exhibitions. Venues include Serendipity's own building on Bowling Green Street, Leicester Museum and Art Gallery, Leicester Central Library, Phoenix and LCB Depot. Some events are free, including the exhibitions at Leicester Museum and Art Gallery. Ticketed events range from about £3 to £45. Check the Serendipity website for the full programme and to book.
