Leicester Museum & Art Gallery: free entry
Arts & Creative · Castle · run by Leicester Museums & Galleries
What it is
General entry is free to all visitors. Galleries include Ancient Egypt, Dinosaurs and the Leicester Stories Gallery, plus changing exhibitions. It is open Monday to Friday 11am to 4.30pm, Saturday and Sunday 11am to 5pm, and bank holidays 11am to 4.30pm. A big redevelopment is under way. Wild Space, the Den and the ground floor art galleries are closed, and so is the shop. There are no vending machines and a new cafe is coming. The car park is closed, but blue badge holders can park free on the street nearby. When the museum is full, people are let in one out, one in.
